"Reflections of Consciousness"

A young and expressive face builds the frame for this picture. The sunglasses reflect two opposed landscapes: One in its natural condition, the other marked by heavy industries and pollution. The photography tries to demonstrate that mankind and its desire for evermore goods – necessary and unnecessary – consciously damages the environment, while still wishing for something pure und natural to be preserved for the generations to come.
The reflex camera (CANON EOS 350 D) used fort he photo shoot, enabled to view and check on the grounds the results of single shots.

All in all, the final photo contains three separate ones: The first one, the face of the model, was taken in a dim place to prevent extensive shadows on the face. The impressions of heavy industry and nature were taken on bright days, with the sun greatly illuminating the scenery.  Those pictures were afterwards integrated into the sunglasses and hence capture the viewer’s eye.

Estrella Clavijo García   

Estrella Clavijo García was born in Huelva in 1980 and studied artistic photography at the Art School “León Ortega”.
After finalizing her studies her first group exhibition takes place, where her photos have an important social and media impact.
