A cross-border European-wide Network
The EuroGlobe project, paralleling the EU presidencies in Slovenia, France and Czech Republic in 2008/09 involves hundreds of youngsters and artists in its ten day programme in each state reaching from theatre plays/lecture/workshop to poetry slam, rap contest and youth assembly. All these people involved in the project will form the backbone of the “EuroGlobe network” that reach across both cultural sectors as across the borders of Europe.
This new network aims at bringing together the different voices and ideas of the cultural branches, economy and politics to give birth to new visions, approaches, new projects and a real European cultural stage. Members of the “EuroGlobe network” will be authors, theater actors, singers, designers and representatives from various cultural and non-governmental organisations throughout the European Union, who have been working together in the framework of the EuroGlobe project. The “EuroGlobe network” will be a new vivid cross-border network, consisting of local partne organisations from Slovenia, France and Czech Republic. The main focus of the new network is to make the importance of cultural diversity in Europe visible and to enforce contacts between artists in the various countries.
The official and formal foundation event of the EuroGlobe network took take place in Ljubljana on 22nd of May 2008 at theater Šentjakobskem gledališcu
