GREEN HORIZONS PART I
films / debate / reception

On August 27, EuroGlobe 2.0 invites you to the “Green Horizons” evening at Le Caméo 2 cinema. In partnership with FIFF, we will present “Sounds of Sand”, a film by Marion Hänsel, followed by “Aral” a short film by Delphine Cousin and Delphine Renard.

The debate: “Water – between abundance and scarcity”
Following the two films, you are invited to participate in our debate with the audience and invited guests on topics such as:
- New ideas for water management, a resource in high demand - and menaced
- New technologies for fostering water
- How to reduce our consumption of water
- Unequally met demands: abundant source vs. source of conflicts
- How to preserve this resource

Invited guests
Different guests will share their knowledge and viewpoints, while seeking to participate the audience:
- Christian Legros: Director of Belgaqua and administrator of the IERPE (European Research Institute on Water Policy)
- Cédric Prevedello: Representative from Aquawal (Professional Union of Public Water Supply Operators in Wallonia)
- Pierre Gillet: Mutual assistance and fraternity – associative having worked on the issue
- Vincent Hallet: scientist specialized in hydrogeology
- Axelle Fischer: Secretary General Justice et Paix

The debate has a two-folded objective: Firstly, it is about raising awareness of the public on scarcity of water and in a second approach it tries to demonstrate how crucial this topic is to our every day life, despite the general perception.

DJ-Reception
Around 9pm we will continue the debate in a relaxed atmosphere just around the corner. Meet us at the facilities of our “ACT NOW!” exposition at Galerie du Beffroi for a DJ reception.
