EuroGlobe 2.0 in Namur
The summer will be hot in Namur, the capital of the Wallonian Region! An exciting small and fine festival program with international films and a tempting line-up of young bands and musicians guarantees an elegant mixture of entertainement. So, Namur is definitly worth a travel and should be marked by all the “festival nomads”!
We are working with full swung on the program and we are proud to announce that important partnerships have been confirmed by now. The City of Namur, the International French speaking Film Festival FIFF, the Festival du Film Nature de Namur and the short film festival Média 10-10 are on board. Apart from the film festival, we are pushing forward the line-up of the Live Acts and DJs and the final booking is now in the list. As soon as the first headliners are fixed, we will let you know.
Venue wise, EuroGlobe 2.0 will be hosted by Cinema Caméo for the International Short Films; Galerie du Beffroi will host the EuroGlobe photo and film contest with an exhibition starting on August 13, 2010; and the Maison de la Culture is reserved for the music festival.
Namur is worth a travel – this is a promise!
Background Information
EuroGlobe 2.0 is the acronym for the EU project EuroGlobe 2.0 - Creative Culture against Climate Change. After the successful implementation of the first EuroGlobe project 1.0 – Living Europe through Culture, the European Commission agreed to co-finance this follow up project.
Similar to the previous project, EuroGlobe 2.0 will travel with the Presidency of the European Council which will be held in 2010 by Spain for the first term and by Belgium for the second term. Therefore, EuroGlobe 2.0 will begin with festivals in Murcia (Spain) and Cadiz (Spain) and afterwards travel to Namur (Belgium) and Antwerp (Belgium). We are looking forward to seeing you!
